Who we are
Titans of Takeover (https://titansoftakeover.com) is an editorial project about the history of M&A, leveraged buyouts, and private equity. This page explains what data we collect when you use the site, and what we do with it.
What we collect
Newsletter. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address. It is stored and processed by Beehiiv, our newsletter provider, and used only to send you the newsletter. Every issue contains a one-click unsubscribe link, which removes you immediately.
Technical data. Our hosting provider (Vercel) keeps standard server logs — IP address, browser type, pages visited — for security and performance. We do not use this to identify you.
We do not run ads, we do not sell data, and we do not track you across other websites.
Affiliate links
Some pages on this site — such as the Bookshelf — contain affiliate links to Amazon. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases, at no extra cost to you. When you click one of these links, Amazon sets cookies in your browser to attribute the purchase. Amazon's own privacy policy governs the data it collects; we never see what you buy or who you are.
Cookies
The site itself sets no marketing cookies. Third-party services we use (Beehiiv for newsletter attribution, Amazon for affiliate attribution) may set their own cookies as described above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and similar laws, you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you (for most visitors, that is at most a newsletter email address). To exercise these rights, unsubscribe directly via any newsletter issue, or contact us through Instagram.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
